Rugged Nokia 3720 Classic is official
Today Nokia has officially presented Nokia 3720 classic - a rugged laptop designed to survive in an environment where others will not. Coming with IP-54 and the entry-level certification of sets of features, the Nokia 3720 classic will be a direct rival to the Samsung B2100 Xplorer.
Nokia 3720 Classic is the next member of the nearly forgotten line of "rugged" devices from the Finnish manufacturer Nokia, which dates back to 5140. Its IP-54 certification is complete with dust and splash resistance, while Nokia was also strongly support increased resistance to impact.
The body of the phone is made up of elements of stainless steel, raw materials and sealed textured surface. The back cover is protected against water and dust from a block of metal screw. A couple of days ago we were able to glimpse something more than the Nokia 3720 classic torture tests that the little Fella passed with flying colors.
In addition to the extra hard body, the Nokia 3720 classic sports a 2.2 inch QVGA TFT display that can display up to 16 million colors. There is also a 2 megapixel camera with LED flash, which can also be used as a flashlight on board. Support Bluetooth 2.1, FM radio, 2.5 mm audio jack, microUSB, and microSD card slot (1GB included in the package) complete list of features of the S40.
Unfortunately, the 3720 classic does not feature 3G support, leaving the tri-band GPRS / EDGE, as his only option for data transfer network.
The Nokia 3720 classic is expected to hit the shelves by the end of 'summer with an estimated price of 125 euros before taxes or subsidies. It will be available in gray and yellow versions.
